Find-Default-Router-IP-address

In order to configure your router, you’ll need to log in to it. In order to do that, you must know its IP address. You can check your default router IP address here. An IP address consists of four numbers separated by full stops. A home network’s IP address will start with 192.168. Routers typically have IP addresses like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Depending on your device or computer, the way you’ll find out your router’s IP address will be different. Here are the steps for each.

Windows

Open the command prompt by accessing the search bar and typing ‘cmd’. A black window will appear in which you’ll need to type ‘ipconfig’. Look through the results for the default gateway address.

  • Choose ‘System Preferences’
  • Click the ‘Network’ icon

Android

A third-party app called Wi-Fi Analyzer is the easiest method for Android devices. After installing the app, tap on the ‘View’ menu and choose ‘AP list’. You’ll see ‘Connected to: [Network Name]’. If you tap on it, a window will display your network’s information including your router’s IP.
